An accumulation or increase in blood vessels directly under the surface of the skin
They can appear in a variety of forms:
- A spider or star (nevus araneus)
- A raised spot (cherry angioma)
- A port-wine stain (nevus flammeus)
- A lump (hemangioma or strawberry angioma)

All these variations are easily treated with laser.
